SEL ROTI RECIPE

Hello hi Namaste. 
Today I am going to show you how to make Sel Roti. 

Ingredients required:-  
  1. Soaked rice (whole night soaked) 
  2. Sugar 
  3. Ghee 
  4. A funnel shaped utensil or if it is not available DIY with a big sized bottle by cutting it into halves. 
  5. A special type of karai to cook sel where it is bulged in middle to cook sel or you can use simple Pan too. 
Method: 
  • At first half kg soaked rice is taken and kept in the grinder. 
  • Then add some ghee and sugar as you want.also put some water. 
  • Now mix all the content in the grinder. 
  • After it is mixed put it in a bowl. Then leave the mixture for about 20 minutes. 
  • After 20 minutes this mixture is thickened and it is mixed well with a dadu. 
note: If you feel like the mixture has become thin then you can add some rice flour in it to thicken the paste. 
  • Then it should be mixed with dadu. It can also be mixed with hand. 
  • Now place ghee in special karai or simple Pan. 
  • The ghee should be heated well to make sel. 
  • A chopstick can be used to turn the sell another side. 
  • Now put the mixture in the funnel shaped utensil or pan and then put slowly the mixture around the utensil excluding the inner bulged part. 
  • Turn the sel around with the help of chopstick. 
  • Cook the sel until it turns in brown colour. 
Finally the Sel-Roti is ready to be served.
