Making Khapse

Hello Hi Namaste,
I am going to show how to make Khapse,
Its very Easy to make at home. This is especially prepared during Losar festival in Nepal, and it is delicious when taken with tea during breakfast also.

Ingredients required:-  
  1. Flour, 
  2. Grinded Sugar, 
  3. Salt, 
  4. Sunflower Oil, 
  5. Milk. 
Let’s Make Dough with the mixture of Sunflower oil, A bit of salt and Grinded sugar.
And put milk instead of water.
Leave it for 10 to 20 minutes...

Now let’s prepare for making roti... while making the roti, we should be very careful about not thinning it to extent. Just to mention.
This khapse is made on different shapes and sizes. And I will show you few types of khapse.
  1. Roti made is cut into equal pieces vertically. Now on each vertical pieces make two small vertical lines again within it not cutting the whole pieces. Then fold from each corner within the small verticals in mid on both side as shown in the video. 
  2. Again cut the roti into small vertical lines again.take 3 vertically cut rotis. Now place ends of first and last vertical lines in between.. and then make it in braid style as shown in the video. 
  3. Take two vertical lines and fold on each other as DNA strands. 
  4. In the fourth one make a bigger vertical lines. then within the vertical lines, cut it slantingly as a diamond shape.then within the diamond shape, make a small vertical lines in mid as shown in video.then fold the one end of the diamond within the vertical line. 
  5. Again cut the rotis into many vertical lines. Now this time make a horizontal line within the vertical line and make it into halves of each. now within the small vertical lines make another vertical line in mid as shown. Then like before fold from the end within the mid vertical lines making a particular shape as shown in video. 
Finally, These 5 types of khapse are made...
Now heat the karai (Pan) placing sufficient amount of sunflower oil to cook the khapse.
After the oil is heated up, place the khapse slowly until it gets fried into golden brown color.
After being golden brown remove the excess oil.
Finally khapse is now ready to be served.
