Making samosa in Nepali style

Hello Hi Namaste,
Today I am going to show you how to make samosa.

Ingredients required:: 
  1. Flour,
  2. Boiled Potatoes,
  3. Onion, Coriander,
  4. Green Chilli,
  5. Sunflower Oil,
  6. Salt,
  7. Turmeric,
  8. Cumin and Coriander Powder,
  9. Red Chilli Powder,
  10. Chopped Ginger,
  11. Chopped Garlic,
  12. Water and Sunflower Oil.
Firstly let’s make a mixture of potatoes and masala to fill in the samosa.
Now heat the pan, Put some oil and then,
  1. Put some chopped onions. 
  2. Chopped ginger. 
  3. Fry the ingredients until it turns into sligtly golden brown. 
  4. Then put a pinch of turmeric. 
  5. Now put some Cumin and Coriander Powder 
  6. then, Green Chilli. 
  7. Put a pinch of Salt according to your taste. 
  8. Then finally put some red chilly powder as you like. 
  9. Fry for a moment and then this fried ingredients are mixed with the boiled potatoes and mash all the ingredients properly. 
  10. Also put some Coriander leaves for more taste. 
Now, Let’s mix the flour with some oil, salt and water to make soft Dough.
Then divide the dough into equal parts and make it round with the palm of your hand then flatten them with help of rolling pin, roll each dough into a equal round shape. While making the roti it Shouldn’t be too thin to prevent from Breaking during packing of samosa.

Now rolled roti is cut in mid into two parts, with these two half, two samosas can be made. 
Now halfly cut roti is made into a coned shape. On the tip of the cone damp your finger Withdrops of water and put it on the Tip of the cone.
Now place the filling in the cone as per you want. After it is done then again damp your fingers with little amount of water and once again place it to the tip of the cone to make it Easier to wrap the samosa.
Samosa is a quiet unique shaped food. so it is essential to take care during wrapping of samosa. I also have clearly showed how to wrap the samosa in my VIDEO...

Now it is ready to be fried in a medium low heat.
  1. Heat the karai.
  2. Put sufficient amount of oil so that the rapped samosa is nicely cooked.
  3. The oil shouldn't be over heated cause overheated oil creates bubbles around the surface of samosa. and it may also lead to crack. so it should be cooked in low heat.
  4. Then after the samosa turn into golden brown it is taken out from the oil.
Now Finally it is ready to be served and it can be served with tomato ketchup and curry.
